Immacolata School is blessed with an extremely caring and supportive parish and school community. In partnership with our dedicated staff, we strive for excellence in fulfilling the parish mission of Catholic education for our students. Like all of our parish activities, our ultimate goal is to bring people to Jesus Christ.

Located in Richmond Heights, Missouri, Immacolata School was founded in September of 1949 by the Carondelet Sisters of St. Joseph, who were the first teachers of the school we value today. We take advantage of our three-story building by dividing our students into three divisions, primary, intermediate and upper grades, each on a separate floor of the building. The layout of our school grounds provides an ample recess area, soccer field, blacktop area and a playground.

We are fortunate to have a staff of 24 full and part-time dedicated teachers serving our students, averaging 9 years of service to Immacolata School. They provide a nurturing religious and academic environment for our students. Our students strive to do well and treat one another with care,

Immacolata School provides a challenging curriculum founded in the basics. Religious instruction provides our students with a foundation focusing on the example of Jesus and the teachings of the Church, complementing the faith formation begun at home. Academic education is heavily focused upon providing a knowledge and skill base in all subject areas, upon which our students may grow and thrive in the years ahead.

Our Kindergarten program provides a welcoming setting for our youngest students combining a "basics" approach in an experiential design. Our kindergartners attend school full days, 8:30-3:10 p.m. While our goal is that they be ready to read by the end of Kindergarten; most are reading during the second semester. Religion, Reading and Math skills are presented daily. To complete the transition to a full-time program, our kindergartners go to PE, Art, Music and Spanish Library and Computer Lab classes, just like our older students.

A very welcoming atmosphere is created in our primary grades 1-4. Our students receive a well-rounded foundation in many areas in their early years: religious, academic, social, learning within groups, yet retaining a healthy sense of individuality. The academic push is increased incrementally each year.

In Grade 5 our students transition between our primary and upper grades. Students have the security of a homeroom teacher they see half the day, while beginning the experience of having specialists for major subjects. They receive enough of a push to assure a successful transition to the upper grades.

In a departmental rotation with a varying schedule each day, students in Grades 6-7-8 experience a three-year rounding out of challenge and refinement of study habits. By acquiring the proper religious and academic foundation through the different levels of our school, our students have been very successful in entering the high school of first choice, ready to take full advantage of what is offered at the next level. They move on from Immacolata with Christian values and a foundation to actively participate in their life-long learning process.
