Eucharistic AdorationAdoration of the Blessed Sacrament is offered on Thursdays, starting with Mass at 8am. and ending at 7pm. All parishoners are encouraged to spend an hour each week in Eucharistic Adoration. Children's Liturgy of the WordA service for children in grades K-3 is offered at the 10am Sunday Mass. Adult volunteers serve as lectors and catechists to elad the children in prayer through the Sunday readings. Nursing Home VisitationExtraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist visit members of our parish that live in nursing homes. If you would like to take Holy Communion to the residents of Barnes Jewish Extended Care, this ministry is for you. Immacolata Parish School of ReligionWeekly instruction in the Catholic faith is provided for children (grades 1-8), who attend non-Catholic schools. Volunteers are needed as teachers, teachers' aids and office assistants. Visit the P.S.R. website for more information. Immacolata SchoolImmacolata's Parish school is a fully accredited elementary school (kindergarten through grade 8), under the auspices of the Archdiocese of St. Louis and Immacolata Parish. There are many opportunities to assist our children and the school community by sharing your time and life expereince. Immacolata Athletic AssociationThe IAA supports and manages the many athletic programs available to our children: soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, field and track. Coaches and assistant coaches are always needed. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)The RCIA team welcomes those who woul dlike to become Catholic into full communion of faith. Parishoners are needed as catechists, sponsors and helpers. If you would like to mentor a new member of our parish as you share your faith please consider the RCIA. Adult FormationFor adults who are interested in deepening their Catholic faith, many opportunities are available at Immacolata. The Tuesday Morning Bible Study, Book Club, Lunch Hour of Power, and the Immacolata Speaker Series all provide ways for adults to grow closer to our God and one another. |
