It's Vv Week!! 

 1.  Read a book about a volcano.  Share the book with us.

2.  Ask someone to read you the definition of a veterinarian.  Draw a picture showing us what you learned.

3.  Decorate the attached vest with V's cut from a magazine.

4.  Choose your favorite vegetable.  Ask 7 people if they agree or disagree with your choice.  Write their names in the correct column the attached sheet.

5.  Count all the vans your see coming to school one morning.  Write the numeral and the number word.

6.  Pretend that you can plan your next family vacation.  Where would you go and why?

Please choose three or more activities.  Homework should be returned by Friday.

1.  Count the doors in your home.  Write the numberal and spell its name.

2.  If you have a real or imaginary dog, draw its picutre and write a sentence about it.

3.  Print the names of your five favorite drinks.

4.  Bring a dozen small objects to school in a ziploc bag.

5.  How many drops of water can you get to sit on a dime?  Print the numeral and spell its name.

6.  Draw and label a picutre of your favorite dinosaur.

December 19 - 22

I will send home a sign language alphabet sheet Friday, Dec. 16th.  Your child will need to learn his/her name in sign language for Wednesday 21st or Tuesday, 22nd.  There will be nothing to turn in.  Please continue to review sight words, write numbers and letters and read books at home.  Hope you're enjoying RAZ-KIDS!

It's Ss Week!!!

1.  Sew a simple sock puppet.

2.  Count the number of socks you have and think of a way to sort them.  Print your answers.

3. Write the recipe for your favorite sandwich.

4.  Teach our class to sing your favorite song.

5.  Print a list of six words that begin with s and draw their pictures.

6.  Make a sign that tells us about your favorite snake.

We are still studying letter Ii this week.  Please review sight words and anything from the list in the email from last week.  If you have a ruler at home, please let your child explore measuring objects at home.  They learned about the "inch" last week.  

November 28 - December 2 

Ii is for igloo and insect!

Please complete three activites.  Circle the items you have chosen and return your work on Friday.

1.  Time how long it takes one ice cube to melt.  Record your time.

2.  Draw a picture of your favorite invention.  Tell us who invented it.  You may use the computer to look up information on websites. 

3.  Build an igloo (out of sugar cubes, styrofoam, etc.).  Who lives in an igloo?  Print your anwer and bring your model to school.

4.  Print a list of six words that begin with the short i sound.

5.  Imagine you are an insect.  What kind are you?  Why?  Draw a picture of yourself and print the answers to the questions.

6.  List three things that make you itch.

7.  Take an inventory of your silverware drawer.  How many spoons, forks and knives do you have?  Print the numerals and the number words.

Choose three or four things from this list and complete them for homework.  Your work should be turned in by Friday. 

1.   Color, cut out, put together Mr. Bones.  This paper is inside the folder.  

2.  Find or draw a picture of a bug.  Write two sentences that will help us learn about your bug.  Remember the punctuation marks we talked about.

3.  Bring in your favorite bear book to share with the class. 

4.  Count all of the birds you see on your way to school one morning.  Write down the numeral and the number word.

5.  Read a story about a bat.  Write down on fact you learned from your reading.
