Homework is an important tool to reinforce materials learned in class as well as to install responsibility, self-motivation and foster organizational skills in the present and future learning invironments of each student.

In our First Grade Class we have a Homework Folder and a Weekend Folder.

Monday through Thursday students take home a
Homework Folder filled with a homework sheet that states what the **homework is for each night as well as any corrected work.

Each morning the students bring back to school their folders filled with the completed assignment from the night before, their homework sheet signed by a parent and/or any note to go to the office or to myself.

On Fridays students take home a Weekend Folder and are to bring this folder back on Monday.

In addition to the specific assigned homework there are "unwritten" assignments to be done every day.

They are: Pray and spend time just talking to Jesus.

Read at least 15 - 20 minutes .
