A Roman Catholic Parish in the Archdiocese of St. Louis
PSR - Parent LetterDecember 29, 2008 Dear Parents, Peace and all good to you, We hope that all of our families had a very blessed and holy Christmas day. You know that the Christmas season last until the Baptism of Jesus so go on and keep singing Joy to the World. It is appropriate! It was great seeing many of you at the Christmas liturgies. I look forward to seeing you for the celebration of the New Year and the Feast of our Blessed Mother on January 1st. Our Masses here at Immacolata are: Wednesday evening at 5:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning at 8:00 and 10:30. We have five families who haven't given us their e-mail addresses as of yet. I will be calling for them at the beginning of the year. It is just a convenient way to contact you in case we need to cancel classes. We hope that you are enjoying your time off with family and friends. We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday evening January 5, 2009! Wednesday, January 7 will be the beginning of our preparation for the sacrament of Confirmation. All candidates and their sponsors should meet in church at 6:30 p.m. The date for Confirmation at Immacolata parish will be on Tuesday evening, April 28, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Msgr. Vernon Gardin will be the celebrant. The prayer for the month of January is the Glory Be to the Father. We tend to confuse that one with the Sign of the Cross. All of our students should know the Sign of the Cross, the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Act of Sorrow. Even first graders can say they are sorry. Thank you for your support and encouragement. We appreciate it. God bless you! Sister Diane |
