What happened to Indian Summer?  It sure did bypass us this year.  I’m just hoping for no snow on Friday night at this point! Now for the big event:  Trunk or Treat is this Fri, Oct. 24 from 5-10PM. – We hope!  Pray that the forecast changes for Friday.  If there is a change in plans, we’ll make an announcement to our students on Thursday morning before noon dismissal and also email you immediately if a decision is made.

As if you could forget, the Parent/Teacher Conferences are tomorrow, Thurs, Oct. 23 from 1-4:30PM & 5:30-9PM.  Time to discuss those strengths & weaknesses of our little precious academics!  STANDARDIZED TEST RESULTS HAVE ARRIVED AND ARE AVAILABLE FOR PARENT PICK-UP IN THE OFFICE.  Free babysitting is available in the gym by the 5th Gr. Girl Scouts during the AFTERNOON ONLY.   Donations for the new playground will be accepted.  Call Mary Noel Donovan (983-0717) if you have questions about babysitting.

Well, the money has been counted and those enterprising 3rd graders made $817.75 on their fundraising bake sale.  Congratulations to them and thank you to all the parents, siblings, etc who made such delicious treats.  Thanks to all who bought the treats and supported the new playground.Don’t forget that there is NO SCHOOL on Fri, Oct. 24, so take advantage of it and make them clean their rooms.

The 6th and 7th Grades will be selling red, white and blue glow necklaces for $1 each and the 7th Gr. will be selling glow bracelets for $1 tomorrow, Thurs, Oct. 23rd at school for their playground fundraiser.  Be sure to send money tomorrow for your kids to buy these fun trinkets.  And don’t forget to buy extra for Halloween!

Also, for Friday Night at the Tailgate Party (weather permitting), please, please, please keep your kids in the lower parking lot & playground.  Traffic will be ongoing in the upper parking lot as there are volleyball games in the gym and parish directory and picture taking in the cafeteria.  The games are CYC games, not Trunk or Treat games.  Volunteers are chaperoning, but the ultimate responsibility for keeping your kids where they should belongs to you, the parents.  Come on up to cheer the 6th Gr. Boys on in V-ball at 7:45PM!
