Wednesday Envelope - Sept. 9, 2009

It was such a relaxing weekend with family & friend BBQs, the Japanese festival, the Greek festival, the art fair at Queeny Park, rain, humidity, & catching up on yard work.  Maybe we are ready to be back at school.      Sally Foster was due back today.  You'd better get those packets in ASAP!  Call Debbie Tonn  or Izabela Genovese  if you have questions.

STILL LOOKING FOR HOT LUNCH VOLUNTEERS!  The Hot Lunch program NEEDS your help!  Honestly, the time commitment is not all that great and the kids really like it when they see you working at school.  You know, it sets up that good role model thing that you sometimes talk about. The Hot Lunch program needs help on the 1st & 4th Mon, 1st, 3rd, & 5th Tues, 1st, 3rd & 5th Thurs, & 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Fri. The 2nd Grade is still in need of a ROOM PARENT to help Ms. Osmack in organizing holiday parties and such. It isn't as intimidating or as time consuming as you think.  Call Lisa Mullen (lrmullen@hotmail.com or Megan Browdy (meganbrowdy@charter.net.  You can make a difference!

For all the gentlemen-in-training & their parents, don't forget this Thurs, Sept. 10 at 7PM is Cub Scout Night in Immacolata's cafeteria.  All boys in grades 1-5 are invited to come & get a taste of cub scouts.  Despite the gentlemen comment, this is a night truly for boys.  For more info, call Mike Tonn (989-9814).  It is sure to be a fun time.

The IAA Soccer Program is sponsoring a BBQ this Sat, Sept. 12 to inaugurate the newly refurbished fields (lookin' good).  Donuts, hot dogs, brats, candy & drinks will be for sale from 9AM-4PM.  Come cheer on the Immacolata soccer teams & celebrate opening day.  Catch the Immacolata Spirit!
