Wednesday Envelope - Sept. 16, 2009

Welcome to allergy season in St. Louis.  Even Indian Summers have their draw backs.  If I could just get the neighbors to stop planting goldenrod...

Time to plan those super nutritious meals and make sure bedtime is enforced starting today. Standardized testing starts next Mon, Sept. 21 and continues until Fri, Sept. 25.  Eat lots of colorful fruits & veggies, along with lean meat.  A healthy mind begins with a healthy body!

It is not too late to still sign up for Cub Scouts!  All you have to do is contact Michael Tonn (989-9814 or michael.tonn@sbcglobal.net) and let him know.  From young Cub Scouts, great leaders grow with a lot of fun.

Everything but Plaid orders need to be placed in this week's Wed. Envelope so that orders may be placed.  It will be sweatshirt weather before you know it!  Call Jennifer Boyer (706-5403) or Sheila Welge (997-6436) if you need more information.

After Standardized Testing, plan to let your little Einsteins have a little fun at the Immacolata Tailgate Party, Fri, Sept. 25 from 5-10PM.  Be sure to pack your dinner and beverages and party to the DJ King, our own Bob Schenk.  Please leave skates, bikes, scooters, skateboards, silly string, chalk & balloons at home.  The gym & field will also be closed, although the play ground will be open.  Save a trip to Walgreens!  The 8th Gr. will be selling glow necklaces and spray painting hair to raise money for the 8thGr. trip. Those 8th Graders are so thoughtful!  It should be a fun time for all.

Mark your calendar:  Soccer started last weekend, so it is time to sign up for Basketball!  Registration is Wed, Sept. 30 from 7-9PM in the Immacolata Computer Lab (bottom floor next to the library).  You may also register by sending last week's forms to the school office via the Wed. Envelope.
