Wednesday Envelope - Sept. 30, 2009

Standardized Testing may be over (whew!), but there are so many things to "make a note" about this week.   So grab your favorite cup with your favorite beverage, your calendar and comfy place to concentrate...

Congratulations to the 3rd Gr. boys' soccer team in their 4-2 victory over St. Ann in the St. Ann's Tourney last Sat.  Coaches Chris Peterson & David Hanon want the boys to know how proud they are.  Mud is still being washed from the uniforms!

Tonight! Basketball Registration is Wed, Sept. 30 from 7-9PM in the computer lab for Gr. 3-8.  You may enter by the back door across from the playground.  Cost is $85/sport/child for parishioners.  For more info, contact Steve Mattingly at sjm@misselaine.com .

Jr. Achievement Volunteers will meet tomorrow, Thurs, Oct. 1 at 8:30AM in the cafeteria.  The program will be discussed and kits distributed.  Questions? Call Ronni Gioia El-Hashem at 918-8418 or Nancy Tice at 918-9201.

Field trips have begun.  Class parties are coming soon.  To help offset what Home and School Association fundraising does not cover for our children, please send in your $25 per child, if you haven’t already done so.

Join the 8th Gr. class as they Walk for Autism on Sat, Oct. 10 at 10AM in the upper Muny parking lot.  To support by either walking or donating, visit www.nowforautism.org, click "St. Louis", then "Donate", then "Support a Walker" & enter Cyndi Hunt as the walker's name or call Cyndi (283-0450) or Liz Gruenbacher (288-5088).  A wonderful cause!

It's time to save those tab tops for Ronald McDonald House.  The 1st Gr. Daisies will collect the tabs from boxes in the classrooms each month.  The class with the most tabs will be treated with ice cream at year's end.  Area donations amounted to $20,000 last year to help families of severely ill children.  Every tab, whether soda or soup, counts!
