Wednesday Envelope - Oct. 28, 2009

Hope everyone's conferences went better than the weather.  I don't mind a little rain, but I think we may need to contact Noah.

Thanks to all who allowed the 8th Gr. to babysit during conferences last week, especially those who gave to the Autism T-shirt Fund.  The t-shirts are now paid in full due to the $171 donated.  The 8th Gr, Liz Gruenbacher, & Cyndi Hunt thank everyone for their support & generosity with the various Autism fundraising events.

The cupboards are bare & we aren't talking nursery rhymes!  The Food Drive for St. Vincent De Paul has been extended until next Tues, Nov. 3.  Please don't forget those in need when shopping or opening your pantry doors.  Please send in canned goods to school with your children.  Please give generously.

This Sun, Nov. 1 is the area wide High School Open House.  Although you may want to research the exact times of particular schools, generally, they are open from 12Noon until 4PM.  Be sure to wear comfortable shoes!

AUCTION NEWS:  1) Watch for incredible items in the Auction Preview located in back of the church after all the masses.  Trips, events, golf are all part of the auction magic.   2) Save yourself some time and AVOID long lines on Auction Night.  PLEASE RETURN YOUR EXPRESS PAY CARD that was included in your invitation ASAP.  All information will be kept in a secure & confidential area.  Return cards to Mrs. Gaskell in the school office, Michelle Keady, or Gina Tramelli.  The auction committee thanks you from the bottom of the Denim & Diamond hearts.

If you have questions about the auction, contact Michelle Keady (862-6765) or Gina Tramelli (692-2172).

There still are some standardized test results in the school office.  Please pick them up by Thurs, Oct. 29 or else you will have to wait to see them by snail mail.

Don't forget to reset your clocks either Saturday night or Sunday morning as we "fall back" on Daylight Savings Time due to arrive at 2AM, Sun, Nov. 1.  Set your clocks back 1 hour and grab that extra sleep.

Did you know? – 25 of the last 26 8th Grades at Immacolata, including this year, have achieved a class composite of 85% or above on standardized testing, ranking among the top ten 8th Grades in the Archdiocese each year.  Congratulations to a great staff and our great students!
