Wednesday Envelope - Nov. 4, 2009

Did you see that strange looking bright yellow ball in the sky the past few days?  Wait, now I remember, it is the sun.  Hope everyone is able to take advantage of the nice weather.

Thanks to teachers & parents who made the Halloween parties so much fun.  The kids do appreciate all your work. Are you sick of eating that leftover Halloween candy?  Now there is help.  Immacolata Girl Scout Troops 2064 & 2651 will collect all your unwanted candy (please leave wrapped!) this Thurs.-Mon, Nov. 5, 6, & 9 for the St. Patrick's Center and place in the boxes in the classrooms or the school office (so you can discreetly get rid of the candy your kids won't get rid of).  Contact Mary Noel Donovan (983-0717) if you have questions.

AUCTION NEWS:  1) Did you see all the goodies to be auctioned down by the school office?  The beautiful class baskets are on display in the hallway (Thanks, Nancy Akin & Heather Niemeyer!), and teachers have all sorts of fun events to be auctioned.  Stop by and see the fun! 2) Save yourself some time and avoid long lines on Auction Night.  PLEASE RETURN YOUR EXPRESS PAY CARD that was included in your invitation ASAP.  All information will be kept in a secure & confidential area in the rectory.  Return cards to Mrs. Gaskell in the school office, Michelle Keady, or Gina Tramelli. 3) NEEDED:  Volunteers are needed to work 30-60 minutes in an auction booth during the auction.  If you would like to work, but not stay for the auction, you are still welcome to volunteer.  4) Congratulations to the Dolans for winning the one night stay at the Crowne Plaza.   If anyone would like to stay the evening at the Crowne Plaza after the Auction, you may still do so at the reduced rate of $99, by calling Cindy at Crowne Plaza 314-719-1144.  5)  What a great night it’s going to be!   Parking will be FREE for the Auction, whether you park on the street or in the attached hotel parking garage.  Wherever you park, register in the main lobby of the hotel on the first floor.  The greeters will give you your name tag, bid paddle and supplemental information.  You’ll also have one last opportunity to avoid lines at the end of the auction by signing up for advance pay.  6) The big event will be on the 7th floor of the hotel in the Crystal Ballroom.  7)  After you’re done studying all the great gifts to bid on in your auction book that was in today’s envelope, make sure you bring it with you Saturday night.  If you have questions about the auction, contact Michelle Keady (862-6765) or Gina Tramelli (692-2172). Anndddd! 8)   Make sure you’re at pick-up for dismissal on Friday, an incredibly cute yellow Lab puppy available for bid at Saturday’s Auction will be there to meet its future owner.
