READING CURRICULUM

                             for 6th, 7th, & 8th

The core of the Reading curriculum for each grade is the READING LIST which includes class study books. You can expect your son / daughter to have a book to read most months and more than one when their class is studying a particular book!  

There are also class readers & poetry books specific to each of the upper grade classes. Reading strategies are emphasised, critical thinking is encouraged & expected, with participation in discussions a must.  

VOCABULARY is a necessary building block for Reading comprehension, therefore WORDLY WISE becomes a weekly staple for both homework & classwork. 

Thursday is weekly W.W. Quiz day for 8th.

Tuesday will be W.W. quiz day for both 6th & 7th.
