PSR Parent Letter May 22, 2008

May 22, 2008

Dear Parents,

Peace and all good to you!

We just wanted to let the parents of our second graders know that the first communion pictures have arrived.  I will have them at all of the Masses this weekend.  If you are not going to be at Mass, you may pick the pictures up from the Rectory during business hours 9:00 to 4:00 on weekdays.  (The Office at the rectory will be closed on Memorial Day.)

Dear Parents,

We want to thank our students who had special roles in the liturgy

and May Crowning last week.  We were very proud of them.  We also

want to thank our families who joined us for this celebration.  For those

of you who couldn't make it, we missed you.

Next week is our last session for this year.  We

Dear Parents,

Next Monday evening our PSR students and families will celebrate Mass at 6:40 p.m. and this will be followed by the crowning of the statue of Mary.  Students are to come to class first for attendance.  They may sit with you during the liturgy.  We do ask however, that our second graders sit with Mrs. Allman and that they wear their First Communion clothes. Girls do not wear their veils.

Dear Parents,

Peace and all good to you!

Thank you so much for your prayers for our Confirmation candidates.  They had a beautiful ceremony and are now counted among the full members of our Church.

Now we ask for your prayers for the First communion class.  Our parish will celebrate with 46 young second graders on Sunday, April 27.  The children are so excited.  We began "real" practice today.  They (and their teachers) are hoping for a snow/rain/wind free day.  Sunshine and warm weather would really be nice.

Dear Parents,

Happy Easter to you!  We hope that all of you enjoyed your break and that everyone remained safe and healthy.

Next Sunday, April 6, the Confirmation candidates will have their retreat.

It will begin here at Immacolata at noon and will end with the 5:00 evening Mass.  We are looking forward to this special time.

Confirmation will be on Tuesday, April 8.  The candidates and their sponsors should be in the school gym by 7:10 p.m.
