If you or someone you know that lives in our parish boundries is in need of help of any kind, please direct them to our St. Vincent de Paul here at Immacolata.
Dear friends of St. Vincent de Paul and fellow Immacolata parishioners,
During this time of stress, fear and seclusion, we want to reach out and serve people in need. They have the same fears and concerns we do, but without the basic necessities that we enjoy. Many will lose their jobs. Many will fall on hard times. Let's share a little of what we have with these neighbors. "As long as you did it to one of these least brothers, and sisters of mine, you did it to Me."
HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN DO as a member of Immacolata to continue our stewardship:
1) DONATE non-perishable items, please. THIS IS OUR GREATEST NEED! Pick up extra items while you are at the store and drop the items off in the back of church during open hours. (Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m). We will be taking these items weekly to help keep the Wellston Center OPEN. (No clothing or household items at this time as the thrift store is closed.) Here's a direct link to the Wellston center https://wellstoncenter.org/
2) Make a donation;
We will DIRECTLY pass this along to the organizations listed below or use the money for those in our community who are directly affected and in need. You can also send or drop off a check to the rectory (8900 Clayton Rd. 63117), made out to "Immacolata SVDP". Memo "COVID RELIEF". You may also call in a donation over the phone. Please contact Angie Potter @314-302-5293
3) You can donate lunch supplies to the following;
4) Consider providing a frozen casserole and/or salad to the St. Patrick Center on a temporary or regular basis. Please contact Cathy Newbold 314-994-7539 or firstname.lastname@example.org or click here for more information.
All of the above will help us to continue to support the following entities where we regularly serve or neighbors and those in need.
*We make 200 sandwiches every week for the St. Vincent de Paul parish sandwich window and the St. Nicholas soup kitchen. The cost is approximately $200/week
